CANDY CANE TRAIN is a clear red with distinctive white midribs. Its green throat extends onto both the petals and sepals. Its strong 40 plus inch scapes take the blooms so high that they almost call to you from across the garden. The color has been sun fast in our garden so that flower can be enjoyed in the evening.
When our friend Bill Chambers stopped for a visit, he walked straight to CANDY CANE TRAIN and recommended that it be introduced. I made a very long cross using the Tet. Christmas Is Seedling. CANDY CANE TRAIN was the most outstanding overall flower and plant.
